Required Ingredients:

  • 2 Nori sheets
  • 200 g of Salmon (choose from lightly salted or fresh)
  • 200 g of Philadelphia cheese
  • 1 Hass Avocado
  • 1 cup of Round grain rice
  • 1 jar of Lemberg sturgeon caviar
  • 3 tbsp of Apple (or rice) vinegar

Step-by-Step Procedure:

  1. Start off by diligently rinsing the rice until the water runs clear, changing the water for a total of five times.
  2. Cook the rice using water at a 1:1.25 ratio. Once cooked, remove from heat, cover and let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the grains to absorb any remaining moisture.
  3. Create a seasoned vinegar by blending apple (or rice) vinegar with a pinch of salt and sugar. Mix this seasoning into the cooked rice, ensuring it becomes sticky and malleable.
  4. Divide a nori sheet into two equal halves. Position the lower half onto a sushi mat, which should be pre-covered with cling film.
  5. With dampened hands, spread a thin, even layer of the seasoned rice over the rough side of the nori sheet.
  6. Next, layer Philadelphia cheese along the centre of the sheet, followed by slices of avocado and salmon.
  7. Carefully roll the sushi using the mat, ensuring it's packed tightly. Slice the completed roll into 6-8 equal pieces using a sharp knife.
  8. Add the finishing touch by topping each sushi roll with a dollop of Lemberg sturgeon caviar. For a truly luxurious experience, consider using Lemberg salmon caviar!
