  • Prepare the ingredients:

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until "al dente," following the instructions on the package. Drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.

  • Prepare the sauce:

Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the cream to the saucepan and bring it to a simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally. If using lemon zest, add it to the sauce for added aroma and freshness.
